Waterfall in the north of PMR

Upon independence in 1990, Pridnestrovie created its ministry of environmental protection and launched an urgent ecology program for the Dniester River. As a result, Pridnestrovie is today a clean and well protected "green" country.

Eighty percent of the territory of the republic is designated as either therapeutic / recreational / tourist zones or rest / therapeutic / recreational zones. In the northern part of Pridnestrovie you will find natural and medicinal springs. Here, a couple of health resorts are built which you are more than welcome to visit.

The capital, Tiraspol, has several amazing parks. Visitors to Kamenka and Slobozya should seek out the unique nature monuments. The rest of Pridnestrovie's territory holds important archaelogical digs, caves and historical, architectural monuments.
