Of special interest is the fact that half of the church is located underground, in caves and dugout hiding places made to resist a possible invasion of the enemy Muslim Ottomans, based in Moldova on the other side of the Dniester river. All the pictures represent the last stage in the development of medieval Fresco while the iconography is influenced by Byzantine Art. While in Causheni, you can also visit the local history museum.

10.00-10.30 – Drive from Causheni to Kitskani. Take pictures as you drive through the authentic, typical villages of Pridnestrovie's countryside.

10.30-11.30 – In Kitskani, visit the Noul Nyamt Cloister accompanied by local Pridnestrovian monk. He will take you up into the bell-tower, and also let you visit the cloister’s museum, churches, and park.

Later there appeared the first palisade and earthwork fortifications. The first documentary mention of the Bender Fortress was in 1408. The fortress was rebuilt in stone. Its walls have survived to the present day and offer an example of classic defensive construction.

13.30-14.30 – lunch in the restaurant “Old Bendery”.

14.30-15.00 – Drive from Bender to Tiraspol. Tiraspol derives from a Greek word “the town on the Dniester”. In its present form, Tiraspol first appeared on the map in 1792 during the Russian and Turkish battle near Bender Fortress. In just a few months, a fortress with 3 towers was constructed in Tiraspol to strengthen the positions of the Russian Army lead by Alexander Suvorov. Tiraspol is a Green Town with a beautiful leisure zone on the banks of the Dniester river. There is an old Tree Garden in the centre of the town. You can also visit:
- Museum of History and Ethnography in Tiraspol
- Tiraspol State University,
- Drama Theatre,
